Disney Crosses $4B Box Office Mark with ‘Predator: Badlands’ Opening Weekend

A new press release from The Walt Disney Company announces that the company has surpassed $4 billion at the global box office for the fourth year in a row.

Disney Crosses $4B Box Office Mark

Disney passed the $4B global box office threshold for 2025 with the opening weekend take of 20th Century Studios’ Predator: Badlands, which was released on Friday, November 7. The film earned $80 million in its first weekend, the best global opening ever for a Predator film and the first film in the franchise to be released theatrically by Disney.

Disney has already seen success with two Predator films on streaming: 2022’s critically-acclaimed Prey and this year’s animated anthology film Predator: Killer of Killers. Both were produced following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox in 2019.

This is the fourth consecutive year in which Disney has made more than $4 billion at the box office. The success comes as Disney has more expected blockbusters coming in the final months of 2025 with Zootopia 2 and Avatar: Fire and Ash.
