Disney is kicking off a holiday campaign including a short film directed by Taika Waititi, the Holiday Magic Tour, Toys for Tots, and more.
Disney 2025 Holiday Campaign
Disney aims to inspire fans and families everywhere to “Make Someone’s Holiday Magic” with this campaign by “celebrating the joy of giving and the powerful connection that countless people share with Disney during this special time of year.”
“For generations, Disney has been part of how families celebrate the holidays—through the impact we have in communities, the stories we share, and the lifelong memories we help create that bring people together,” said Disney’s Joanna Balikian, Senior Vice President, Brand Management. “This year, Disney is continuing that legacy of making magic during the holidays all over the world.”
Holiday Short Film
The campaign begins with A Disney Holiday Short: Best Christmas Ever directed by Academy Award winner Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok, Thor: Love and Thunder, The Mandalorian). The short film is now available on Disney+ and online.
At the center of the story is a little girl and her doodle who comes to life on Christmas Day after Santa mistakes the drawing for a holiday wish. The short follows the charming story of the friendship between the girl and the animated product of her imagination during this magical season in a uniquely Disney way.

The character Doodle is voiced by Disney Legend John Goodman (Sulley in Monsters, Inc., Pacha in The Emperor’s New Groove, and “Big Daddy La Bouff in The Princess and the Frog).
This is Disney’s second holiday collaboration with Taika Waititi, following the 2024 Emmy-nominated A Disney Holiday Short: The Boy & The Octopus.
“What makes this story uniquely Disney is the fact that it’s set in the world of a kid. It’s a kid and her new best friend, navigating the complex world together, and doing it just with the power of friendship and imagination,” said Taika Waititi.
Disney’s Holiday Magic Tour
Disney’s Holiday Magic Tour will visit more than 20 cities around the world to spread “cheer through donations, community activations, special surprises, and moments of joy for kids and families.”
Disney will stop at local schools, children’s hospitals, and nonprofit organizations. There will be VoluntEARS toy deliveries, exclusive movie screenings, a surprise Broadway cameo, and more.
Shows from across Disney networks will “amplify the spirit and excitement” including ESPN’s First Take and SEC Nation, ABC and ABC News programs like Dancing with the Stars, Good Morning America, The View, Live with Kelly and Mark, Tamron Hall, and Wheel of Fortune.
The long-standing collaboration between Disney and the Marine Toys for Tots program will continue. Join Disney’s Ultimate Toy Drive and donate a toy to Toys for Tots through December 24, 2025, or in person at Disney Stores, Disneyland Resort, or Walt Disney World Resort through December 14, 2025. Special Disney Store shopping sprees will take place in all 50 states. In Detroit, there will be a community toy distribution event.
Unleash the Holidays

Stitch leads the “Unleash the Holidays” campaign with Disney Consumer Products. He’ll be “popping up everywhere” and bringing along characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars.
A Very Jonas Christmas Movie starring the Jonas Brothers will premiere on Disney+ and Hulu on November 14.
