Disney’s Animal Kingdom is ready for the holiday season with garlands, wreaths, and more Christmas decorations.
Entrance
The overhangs on Disney’s Animal Kingdom ticket plazas are now adorned with light-up garlands.

They feature colorful flowers, baubles, and animal masks. Matching garland decorations are between the ticket windows.
The wreaths feature similar adornments.

There are also garlands across the entrance plaza. A wintry Disney’s Animal Kingdom sign is above an entryway. It features snowflake patterns made out of animal silhouettes, matching banners in the entrance area.
The park’s Christmas tree was also installed at the entrance overnight.
Discovery Island

Adventurers Outpost, where guests meet Mickey and Minnie, has garland hanging from its roof. Mickey and Minnie will soon don holiday accessories for the season.

This garland features gecko figures and zebra-striped ribbons.
The Discovery Island stage now has garland trim around its roof, adding extra festive energy to the musical performances.
Garland also lines the lower roof of Discovery Trading Company.

Inside the gift shop are Christmas trees, festive baskets, and garlands.
Though Merry Menagerie lanterns arrived in October, additional decorations have been added to Riverside Depot and Island Mercantile. During the holidays, Merry Menagerie puppets roam this main thoroughfare.
The decorations feature white and silvery adornments, matching the Merry Menagerie style.
Small animal figures are accompanied by shiny baubles, leaves, sticks, and red berries.
Paper stars are in the garlands and wreath of Island Mercantile.
Merry Menagerie-style bird sculptures are in some of the flowerbeds, positioned with stick supports so they look like they are taking off.
Island Mercantile is also decorated inside with small trees and lanterns. Like the exterior decorations, these mostly feature white items, including ornaments and ribbons.
Pandora – The World of Avatar
The residents of Pandora have decorated for the season, too. Famously, the AMP suit gets a Santa hat and beard every winter.
The decorations look like they are made of natural, found materials. Plus, there are string lights wrapped around the suit.

Small wreaths and ornaments hang between the suit and Pongu Pongu. Some resemble carved creatures native to Pandora.
There are also classic Earthly decorations like Santa Claus figures and stockings.
These continue across the Pongu Pongu facade.
A pair of nutcrackers sits next to the bar’s sign. One is painted to look like a Na’vi.
There’s also a menorah atop a radio.
Restaurantosaurus has also begun decorating and will once again host a Santa Claus meet and greet.
