The annual gingerbread carousel is almost ready at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Disney had not previously announced the carousel’s theme, but we now know it’s focused on the display’s 25th anniversary.

The bakers are putting final touches on the carousel, which is in the Beach Club’s lobby. They plan to officially open the display and its treats counter tomorrow, November 19.

A “25” tops a birthday cake-inspired element on the roof of the carousel. White carousel horse cookies and Mickey gingerbread men line the edge of the roof.

There are two pedestals. This one lists the ingredients of the display:

  • 432 pounds of honey
  • 1,200 of rye flour
  • 100 pounds of eggs
  • 25 pounds of spices
  • 10 pounds of simple syrup
  • 200 pounds of icing
  • 10 quarts of egg whites
  • 100 pounds of confectioner’s sugar
  • 200 gumpaste flowers
  • 50 pounds of dark chocolate
  • 20 pounds of Grand Marnier
  • Lots of enthusiasm, energy, and talent
  • 2024 pieces of gingerbread
  • 25 hidden gold Mickeys

Over the shoulders of the working bakers, we saw the different themed horses. Each has a “25” incorporated into their saddle. This white horse has a candy cane-inspired mane and saddle.

The carousel horse to the side is based on the bakers themselves. It wears a white shirt and has ingredients on its checkered saddle. Candies are stuck in its black mane and tail.

A yellow horse is adorned with orange and lemon slice-inspired elements. It has multi-colored hair.

This horse is chocolate brown with white curly hair. It has a yule log on its saddle featuring mushroom details.

The last horse is inspired by a classic gingerbread man. It’s light brown with a dark brown saddle featuring intricate details and a sparkly red bowtie.

Another pedestal lists the names of Cast Members who worked on this year’s carousel and past carousels.

The posts of the carousel are candy cane-striped. More candy canes are on the roof and red flowers are between the cookies on the edge.
