Electrical Fire on Monorail Silver
The news was reported on November 23 by X user CHRIS_MAGIC_DCL:
The post reads:
I didn’t have seeing a monorail have a electrical fire on my bingo card while on my morning run this morning! There was quite a bit of smoke that smelled like burning electrical insulation coming out between the cars! By the time I went and got my phone they got it out. It was the express and looked empty! They have the walking path to the magic kingdom closed
He provided photos of the stopped monorail and circled where he saw the fire and smoke.
In a reply, X user MarleneBorrego3 shared a photo she took of the monorail emitting smoke:

Monorail Closed

As of 11:45am ET, the Walt Disney World monorail service remained unavailable. Cast Members and signs were posted at the entrance to the monorail station at the Grand Floridian Resort.

Firefighters and maintenance workers were seen on a lift below Monorail Silver, which remains stopped on the track in the same location.

As a result, Walt Disney World’s boat services are currently being overwhelmed due to guest demand.

At around 12:40pm ET, our reporter caught video of Monorail Silver being pushed back on the track from the spot where it’s been stuck near the Grand Floridian.
Resort Monorail System Running Again, Express Still Down
As of 4:25pm ET, our reporter let us know from the Transportation and Ticket Center that the resort monorail was running again. However, Cast Members were still advising guests to take boat transportation over the monorail.

Additionally, the Express Line was testing by running Monorail Red very slowly.
