Disney’s partnership with Epic Games is “an opportunity to integrate game-like features into Disney+,” said Iger. He also talked about user generated content (UGC) and their deal with Pocket.watch studio.

“It provides users of Disney+ with a much more engaged experience including the ability for them to create UGC and to consume mostly shortform UGC from others,” he said.

As for AI, Iger said it provides “the opportunity to use Disney+ as a portal to all things Disney” including Disney Parks, Disney Cruise Line, hotels, and more. He suggested three AI divisions: streaming technology, content (post production), and streamlining parks. (via Deadline)

Back in 2021, Disney filed a patent related to interactive video content. In 2022, Disney+ released Remembering, a short film utilizing augmented reality. Earlier this year, they announced the streamer would get virtual concession stands and storefronts.
