New photos of Lakeshore Lodge construction have been posted by aerial photographer bioreconstruct. The photos show the continued work on a lazy river and more.
Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge

Aerial photographer bioreconstruct shared these photos on X. The resort is under construction on the former River Country site next to Fort Wilderness, across the water from the abandoned Discovery Island. Disney Lakeshore Lodge will have a nature theme and is scheduled to open in 2027.

From this aerial angle, we can see just how large the next Disney Vacation Club resort. All three “wings” and courtyard area are taking shape as construction continues. It looks like much of the entrance framing has begun to get metal roofing. We can also see the continued construction on the A-frame cabins that line the shore on wither side of the resort. The cabins are receiving roofing, as well.

A crane still sits on a Floatmaster in the water with a dock under construction in the lake. Currently, the “dock” is just supports in the water. In the courtyard in between these wings of the resort, it also looks like a smaller pool is under construction.

Crews also continue working on the foundation of a larger pool and what is almost certainly a lazy river. It was previously rumored that Disney Lakeshore Lodge would have an extensive pool area, including a lazy river, as well as a splash pad, feature pool, and leisure pool.

The lazy river is a nearly complete oval of concrete next to the concrete pool foundation, which includes steps at one end and a ramp at the other end. The lazy river is directly behind the resort’s entrance — the red framework visible at the bottom of the above photo.
