DAS Changes and Controversy

Disney updated its DAS eligibility requirements for Walt Disney World in May 2024 and Disneyland in June 2024. Those changes have proven controversial, as many guests with disabilities outside those mentioned are no longer eligible for the service. Cast Members have suggested to those affected that guests practice waiting in line at home, leave a line and rejoin it later, or ask for a return time at each attraction.

A class-action lawsuit against Disneyland alleging disability discrimination was filed in February 2025; the case is ongoing. In August 2025 a fired Disneyland Cast Member outlined his issues with the DAS changes in a viral seven-minute-long TikTok video.
