Universal Studios Japan announced the dates and theme of their 25th anniversary celebration.

Universal Studios Japan will celebrate 25 years of “NO LIMIT!” from March 4, 2026 through March 30, 2027. The park first opened on March 31, 2001.
Universal Studios Japan said in a press release, “This landmark occasion is made possible by the unwavering support of our guests, dedicated team members, valued corporate partners, and the vibrant local communities who have helped shape Universal Studios Japan into a world-class destination. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey.”

The theme of the celebration will be Discover U!!! This invites guests to both “Discover You” and “Discover USJ” by “unlocking new facets of themselves through transformative entertainment” and rediscovering the magic of Universal Studios Japan.
Guests will be encouraged to embrace their individuality and explore their infinite potential in ways only Universal can deliver.

The year-long Discover U!!! celebration will have immersive entertainment, exclusive merchandise, and surprises. Additional details will be revealed at a later date.
A special one-day-only kickoff performance will take place at Midosuji Runway 2025 on Monday, November 3, 2025. The showcase will feature characters like Reika Ayanokoji, Deacon from WaterWorld, Mario & Luigi from SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, Elmo, and Snoopy. They will “honor the park’s rich history and express heartfelt appreciation to our hometown of Osaka in a dazzling tribute to 25 years of memories.”
Last year, Universal Studios Japan was ranked third in worldwide theme park attendance, making it the top theme park outside of the U.S., according to the 2024 TEA Global Experience Index.
