TRON Ares Merchandise Arrives at Disney World

Limited edition and new merchandise for TRON has arrived at Magic Kingdom. Several items are for the upcoming Tron: Ares movie.

Tron: Ares will premiere in movie theaters next Friday, October 10. Disney World has several new pieces of merchandise, along with the attraction overlay with a soundtrack from Nine Inch Nails.

Limited Edition Tron: Ares Pin – $19.99

The Tron: Ares pin is in the shape of a triangle identity disc, which acts as both a weapon and a way to store information. It’s black and red to match the new threat in the movie. A red sign that has “Disney Tron Ares” in black text hangs from the disc with chain link.

We purchased this pin at Frontier Trading Post along with the Magic Kingdom 54th birthday pin.

Everything else is found in the Tomorrowland Launch Depot.

Limited Edition Bluetooth Speaker – $79.99

Kevin Flynn’s identity disc comes in the form of a bluetooth speaker, so you can listen to your music wherever you go. The speaker interacts with identity chips and connects to the identity disc backpack.

The lights change color when an identity chip is inserted into the identity disc. Both the lights as well as sounds are motion-activated.

The bluetooth speaker requires four AA batteries, which are included. It is a limited edition release with 3500 units available.

The red identity disc has lights and sounds like in the movies. The triangle shape is for the entities with more control and are different from the traditional standard circle discs.

Lightcycle Color-Changing Die-Cast Vehicle – $19.99

A smaller version of the attraction lightcycle vehicles is available to purchase. It’s recommended for ages 3 and up and make great souvenirs or toys for guests to remember their Disney World trip.
