Did you know Disneyland Paris also has a campground resort? Come with us as we tour one of the refurbished standard cabins at Disney Davy Crockett Ranch!
Davy Crockett Ranch Standard Cabin Tour

Disney Davy Crockett Ranch is the campground at Disneyland Paris that opened in September 1991. It originally served as housing for the cast members of what was then-EuroDisney.
In April 2024, Disney announced that Davy Crockett Ranch’s 584 cabins would be refurbished with new theming featuring Donald Duck, his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie, and the Junior Woodchucks of the World scouting organization. A first look at the new theming was shared in July 2024.

We’re checking out cabin 8015 for our tour, located on the Butterfly Patrol trail. The trails were renamed to reflect the Junior Woodchucks theming, and the trail signs now have the “JWW” monogram.

Even the rust-colored mailbox out front is themed: the front features an embossed forest services-styled seal with “Forest of Duckburg” on the top, a cartoon bear with mountains behind him, and “Calisota” on the bottom — all references to the Donald Duck universe.

Also outside is a new barbecue grill and a patio with refreshed furniture.

Step inside and you’re greeted with a red doormat that invites you to “Wipe your feet, paws and claws!” with boot prints, bear paw prints, and duck footprints. There are also hanging hooks decorated with “Polaroids” of Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby Vanderquack enjoying scouting activities.

Walking in the door, you enter the cabin’s central area, consisting of a kitchenette, dining table, and a single convertible sofa bed with a coffee table. The bedrooms are off to each side. The whole cabin is covered in light wood paneling with vibrant, camp-inspired artwork.

These details include a “Forest of Duckburg” poster, throw pillows stitched with scouting rules, and a Junior Woodchucks clock with Huey on the face. The clock’s hands are his arms waving semaphore flags.

The kitchenette has several features to ensure a comfortable stay, all concealed behind wooden cupboard doors.

These include a refrigerator and freezer, toaster, cooktop, electric kettle, espresso machine, microwave, and dishwasher.

There’s a variety of tea bags and espresso pods next to the kettle and espresso machine.

The dishwasher has a cabinet-colored front panel, so it blends in with the rest of the wood. The microwave is built in to the cabinetry at the top.

The kitchenette is also stocked with plenty of plates, bowls, cups, glasses, utensils, and cookware. There’s even a Mickey waffle maker!

Above the sink is a decorative bulletin board with a recipe for “French Toast à la Elvira” (Donald’s grandmother) to enjoy, alongside “photos” of Grandpa and Grandma Duck working on their farm, two Junior Woodchuck buttons, and a sticky note sketch.

Stepping back from the kitchenette is a sitting area with a couch (which converts into a single bed) and a small coffee table with an informational pamphlet.

Next to this is the television, phone, and several outlets.

The shelf next to the television has more cute themed details: a framed photo of the Junior Woodchucks, a camera, and a scout’s hat.

Head down the left hallway to find the cabin’s split bathroom. The cabin’s only toilet is here in a small room on one side of the hallway. A shower room is found on the other side.

The shower is small, but not cramped, with a mirrored medicine cabinet and a heated towel bar next to the sink.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the art on the body wash and shampoo bottles, featuring an angry Donald trying to catch a soap bar as Daisy lathers up under a pile of bubbles.

Now that we’ve washed up, let’s check out the bedrooms. The master bedroom is at the end of the left hallway. It has a double bed with a small corner desk and a closet, as well as its own dedicated shower.

Several outlets and two reading lights are on either side of the bed.

The bed has a decorative pillow with the diamond-shaped JWW monogram. Above the head, a silhouetted scene shows Donald and another adult duck taking a troop of four Junior Woodchucks on a hike. A bear is approaching Donald to sniff whatever snacks he has in his bindle.

On the wall opposite the foot of the bed is this adorable triptych: Webby with a moose and several birds, Grandma Duck eyeballing a bear who’s stolen her cooking, and Webby hanging out with Chip and Dale while painting pictures.

To the right of the bed is a corner desk with a mirror and lighting that could also serve as a vanity. Inside the closet are two robes, a safe, and extra bedding, along with shelves and hangers.

The shower in the master bedroom is nearly identical to the one in the hallway, with the same sink, mirror, and heated towel bar.

Down the right hallway from the central area, the second bedroom has two single beds and a single trundle bed.

The bed on the left has the trundle, as well as shelves and cabinets for storage and a small closet with hangers.

The artwork above the bed depicts Huey, Webby, and Dewey photographing a bird’s nest, while Louie relaxes in the lake with a friendly bear.

The other bed is standing on the opposite side of the room below a window. It has a small closet with two cubbyholes below.

Each bed has a light fixture with a silhouetted scouting scene above it, plus a reading light and outlets next to the head.
