Snow is almost done falling on Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland and icicles have begun to appear, plus crews have started preparing for the “it’s a small world” holiday overlay.

Sleeping Beauty Castle Snow

Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland, smaller and more whimsical than Cinderella Castle, adorned with blue banners, crowds in front.

Crews began installing snow on the castle on October 13, the earliest ever. It now covers most of the turrets and rooftops.

There are even snowcaps on the walls extending to the sides of the main castle. They are designed look cartoonish, with exaggerated blue highlights and the dark blue shingles of the castle peeking through.

Guests approach a castle with blue and white turrets at Disneyland, resembling Sleeping Beauty Castle, under a bright sky.

On the right side, a series of icicles now hang from one snowy roof. These faux icicles will be illuminated during the holiday season.

When we first checked in a week ago, only a few of the central rooftops had snowcaps.

“it’s a small world” Holiday Prep

Guests queue outside Disneyland's "It's a Small World" under clear blue skies—no castle in view to compare among Disney Parks.

Meanwhile, crews are preparing for “it’s a small world” Holiday. There are now lights and electric cables on the attraction’s facade.

If you look closely, you’ll see the tiny lights lining the edges of the facade. The ride remains open but will soon close to receive interior decorations.

Holiday props also recently arrived at Fantasyland Theatre.

Holidays at Disneyland Resort

Holidays at Disneyland Resort will run from November 14, 2025, through January 7, 2026. This year’s festive offerings include meet and greets, Believe in Holiday Magic fireworks, A Christmas Fantasy Parade, holiday food and beverages, and more.
