Signage Installed, Areas Blocked for Zootopia: Better Zoogether at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

The latest construction progress includes more signage being installed and areas blocked off for the Zootopia: Better Zoogether show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

New Exit Sign

We first noticed a brand new sign near the exit of the Tree of Life theater. Currently, the sign is covered in scrim, but we do anticipate it and all the other new signage will be fully revealed in the coming weeks before Zootopia: Better Zoogether opens on November 7.

Marquee Sign Visible

Additionally, the back of the marquee sign at the entrance of the attraction is not covered in scrim. The large sign in the center appears to be a bright seafoam green with wood accents and a forest green section at the top.

The side signs for the standby queue and Lightning Lane queue are wooden, judging by the back. Disney has confirmed the show will be part of Lightning Lane Multi Pass.

Pictured above is what the front looks like (unchanged from our last update). It is still covered in scrim, though the general outline is visible.

Restricted Access

Other areas surrounding the Tree of Life are unavailable for guests to access, including a viewing area for turtles near the roots of the tree. We saw several construction crew members in the area.

Additionally, the area across from the restroom where the catfish are located is also unavailable. It has been blocked off with more temporary rolling planters.

These areas act as the queue line for Tree of Life shows. It also appears that there will be more signage in the queue line, as seen in the photo above.

Tree of Life Changes

At the back of the Tree of Life, several changes include the wood near the roots being treated and re-painted to a darker shade.

There are also ropes and netting wrapped around the beams. Crews were currently working on these tasks during our visit.

Walls & Scrim

Temporary construction walls continue to surround various areas of the attraction, including the area where Dug and Russell used to meet. This area will become the location of the Nick and Judy meet and greet that opens in November.

A blank black sign on a rooftop evokes Zootopia vibes, framed by palm trees and a sky reminiscent of sunny Disney park days.

There is also a new sign on the roof for this meet and greet opportunity.

Green construction walls also cover a portion of the exit of the attraction where the exit sign was recently installed.

Rolling planters also continue to block off the area. These are commonly used when construction is nearing completion. We noticed them at the front of the attraction, along the path where the back of the marquee sign is visible, and throughout the future queue area.
