Review: Trick-o-Treat Churro Donut from Sunshine Churros

Sunshine Churros at Disney Springs has a spooky new churro donut for October — is it a tasty treat or a too-sweet trick?

Trick-o-Treat Churro Donut – $7.99

Sign advertising a "Trick-O-Treat Churro Donut" for $7.99, surrounded by soda bottles and a yellow box.

The description of the Trick-o-Treat Churro Donut is as follows:

A churro donut rolled in chocolate sugar, drizzled with peanut butter and chocolate sauce. Topped with festive peanut butter chocolate candy pieces.

Review

The churro donut is made to order, so the breading of the churro is fluffy and warm. The chocolate sugar gives it a bit of burnt flavor, but the chocolate sauce and peanut butter on top combat that. The Reese’s Pieces on top add a texture that we’re not crazy about, but isn’t insulting or off-putting — just there.

A hand holds a bitten cinnamon roll topped with chocolate, peanut butter, and colorful candy pieces outdoors.

If you like Reese’s, chances are you will also like this. We will say these are our favorite churros on property, but this isn’t our favorite that they offer. However, it’s definitely worth a shot if you’re a fan of Reese’s Pieces!

We picked this up at the Sunshine Churros kiosk in Disney Springs.
