During the Disney Dreamlight Valley showcase, we learned that the next update features a new storyline that will finally allow players the opportunity to befriend a fan-favorite Disney Princess. Plus, get a look at the 2026 roadmap.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Showcase
Players have been waiting years for Disney Dreamlight Valley to include Cinderella, and the wait is finally over. For the final 2025 free update, called the Winter Ball, a new storyline asks players to work with the Fairy Godmother to bring Cinderella back to the valley.

Current Disney princesses in Disney Dreamlight Valley include: Ariel, Belle, Elsa, Anna, Jasmine, Merida, Moana, Mulan, Rapunzel, and Tiana.
Cinderella will join the list on December 10, 2025.
According to the official website, the Winter Ball update is also introducing a new multiplayer feature called Dreamteams. Players can join a group of up to seven other friends to share resources and work together. Dreamteams will be able to choose a name, motto, and icon to set a tone for their community.
Next month, a paid update will feature horses as players build up a ranch within a fantastical Alpine landscape. Several Disney characters will help out, including Snow White, Tinkerbell, Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and more.
2026 Free Content Roadmap
Not only did we get news regarding the last free 2025 update, but several were teased for 2026. Disney Dreamlight Valley’s 2026 free content roadmap includes references to three Disney intellectual properties.
In early 2026, players will be able to “bond over spaghetti and meatballs” with Lady and the Tramp. In the Spring of 2026, there will be a Pocahontas theme, where players can “discover the beauty of nature alongside a free-spirited adventurer.”
Summer 2026 promises a “mythological adventure” with references to Hercules, which was previously part of the Storybook Vale expansion.
