Disney’s Hollywood Studios has a new preview center of Walt Disney World’s upcoming Monsters, Inc. land, Cars area, and Tropical Americas land.

The preview is inside Walt Disney Presents, near the end of the gallery.

A Disney Imagineering exhibit displays Animal Kingdom and Cars Land models, with no castle present to compare to other Disney parks.

Since 2021, this Walt Disney Imagineering Presents case housed a display dedicated to the Disney Cruise Line ship the Disney Wish. This display closed last month to make way for something new.

It now has assets for the upcoming projects Monstropolis, Tropical Americas, and Piston Peak.

Monstropolis at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Monstropolis at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will debut the long-awaited Monsters, Inc. door coaster. The land replaces Muppets Courtyard including MuppetVision 3D, which closed this summer. Here’s the description of the land from the display:

Monstropolis

After years spent scaring us, monsters are finally welcoming humans into Monstropolis with an all new themed land inspired by the beloved Monsters, Inc. film franchise. Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the land will feature shopping, dining, and the first-ever suspended coaster in a Disney park. As in the film, guests will first be hoisted into the air — via a unique vertical-lift system — before zooming off on a thrilling ride through the iconic Door Vault.

There are maquettes of Sulley and Mike. These full-color models aren’t actually new, they’re from Monsters University.

On the wall is all the concept art for Monstropolis that has been released so far. One piece includes a look at the scream canister-inspired ride seats zooming past Mike, Sulley, and Boo with her door.

Another offers a view of the Monsters, Inc. facade.

Concept art for Disney’s Animal Kingdom and a "Tropical Americas" sign are displayed on a star-patterned wall, no castle shown.

The wide aerial view of the land is the same concept art posted on the construction walls around Muppets Courtyard.

The fourth piece sees Sulley on the ground in the town as human guests enjoy Monstropolis.

Other attractions and offerings haven’t been officially announced, but concept art teases a reimagining of the MuppetVision 3D theater and PizzeRizzo. Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano is set to become Harryhausen’s. Though buildings of Muppets Courtyard will be reused, Stage 1 Company Store was completely demolished.

Tropical Americas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

A display case features a scale model of Animal Kingdom’s Tropical Americas, with lush trees and structures—no castle present.

Tropical Americas is replacing DinoLand U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It will include the world’s first Encanto ride, a carousel of Disney animals, and an Indiana Jones ride. The latter will be a reimagining of DINOSAUR, which closes permanently next February. The model in this case was first displayed at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.

Here’s the land’s description:

Tropical Americas

A vibrant new land is coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, transporting guests into the lush rainforests and exciting stories of the Tropical Americas. Extensive Imagineering research has produced a sprawling land, rich with detail and authenticity. It will feature a central fountain, a quick-service restaurant, a hand-carved carousel and two signature attractions — the first-ever Encanto-themed ride-through experience and a new Indiana Jones adventure unlike any other in the world.

Part of Tropical Americas will be the fictional village of Pueblo Esperanza, designed to feel lived-in. There will be a fountain that villagers gather around to tell stories. According to the Pueblo Esperanza lore, the carousel was created by a local woodcarver. The ride seats represent various animals from beloved stories, including Kevin from Up.

Like Monstropolis, Tropical Americas will reuse several existing DinoLand buildings, including Restaurantosaurus. Guests will enter through an archway and pass a clocktower. It will also have a playground to replace The Boneyard.

The Encanto ride will focus on the day Antonio received his gift of speaking to animals. Guests will enter Casita and ride vehicles made of furniture. It will be where Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama used to be at the back of the land.

The Indiana Jones ride is expected to be similar to Indiana Jones Adventure at Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea but with a brand new story. DINOSAUR already uses the same ride system and a nearly identical ride track. It will take place in a Mayan temple, with a new facade as shown on the model. The story has Indy investigating rumors of a mythical creature.

Display board reading "Tropical Americas" shows concept art and a model for Animal Kingdom’s upcoming area, no castle in view.

The concept art on the back wall has been released previously and showcases the temple, Indiana Jones, the carousel, Casita, and Encanto characters. Tropical Americas is set to be completed in 2027.

Cars Area at Magic Kingdom

Piston Peak is an expansion to Frontierland in Magic Kingdom. The Cars area takes over the former site of Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island, which closed permanently in July.

Frontierland – Piston Peak sign, Cars Land-inspired, details a Disney theme park attraction displayed indoors (no castle visible to compare).

Here’s the Piston Peak description:

Frontierland – Piston Peak

Get those all-terrain tires ready, because Piston Peak National Park is coming to Magic Kingdom. Inspired by the Disney and Pixar Cars universe, this reimagined area of Frontierland will invite guests to explore the natural wonders of the American “wheelderness.” In addition to stunning views and iconic characters, the area will feature two all-new original attractions — a thrilling rally race around the park and a second experience that will be fun for the whole family.

A vibrant illustrated map labeled "Welcome to Piston Peak" in Cars Land, highlighting attractions, landscapes, and themed park details.

Piston Peak is based on the Rocky Mountains and Imagineers have explained how it fits into Frontierland, representing one part of America. It will be designed with sightlines in mind. A “fun map” of the area revealed it will have water features and a barrel bridge paying homage to Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island.

Cartoonish vehicles navigate rocky mountains in Cars Land, capturing the vibrant adventure of a Disney park landscape.

There are two pieces of concept art, which were previously released, for the off-road rally race ride. They showcase cars racing through the wilderness.

Three black-and-white sketches of smiling, wide-eyed cars greet guests at Cars Land, similar to Disney’s cheerful park entrances.

Concept sketches of some of the ride vehicles are on display. Each vehicle will have a unique personality.

Details about the family-friendly attraction haven’t been announced.

There are maquettes of Lightning McQueen and Mater. The area will also feature an original character, Ranger J. Autobahn Woodlore, based on Ranger J. Audubon Woodlore from classic Disney cartoons.
