New check-in counters, a kid’s area, and more have been revealed as Disney continues with the lobby refurbishment at Pop Century.
Check-In Counters

New check-in counters have been revealed, and they are bright and bold colors. Instead of one long counter, three counters are now divided with generic decade specific designs.

Starting at the end closest to the bus stop, the first counter appears to be from the 1960s with the teal background and “Neato” text.

New to that, “Groovy” retro wavy swirl wall art is representative of the 1970s.

Lastly, the 1980s/1990s wall art has “Cool” in the geometric style that was so popular during that time.

At the end of the lobby that is nearest to Bell Services, there is a long table and chairs for additional seating. That area is painted lime green and has orange patterned carpet.

On the end closest to the bus stop, there is a simple DVC counter with blue wall paint.
Kid’s Area

The kid’s area also received a refresh. There is new blue geometric carpet, round seating poufs in various colors and patterns, and a television set where movies play.
In addition, new wall art is designed to look like television screens playing various movies like Little Mermaid, Jungle Book, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and more.

The area immediately outside the kid’s space received a new mural with a comic book style and bench seating, pictured above.
More Work

A retro Minnie and Daisy mural covers a large portion of the wall space on the opposite side of the check-in counters. However, the wall space that previously held many of the fun photos and mementos from past decades is covered with white scrim and black curtains.

Pictured above is what the lobby previous looked like.
Earlier this year, Everything POP was refurbished and received a new coffee shop. The rooms also received an updated look.
