A portion of Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland Park is surrounded by construction walls, and we aren’t sure what they are for.

Construction Walls

Kids enjoy bright slides near construction barriers at Disneyland’s Toontown playground, no castle visible in this scene.

Construction walls have surrounded a section of Goofy’s How-to-Play Yard. The child’s play space features an interactive outdoor areas like a sound garden, an elevated clubhouse, and slides.

There is also an indoor portion where guests can operate an interactive candy-making machine.

A majority of the area is open, including the slides and clubhouse. However, part of the area by the slides is closed. There is a sign that has “Mickey’s Toontown Department of Parks & Wreck” text letting guests know this area is closed.

We aren’t sure why the walls have been installed. There are no projects announced for Toontown.

Here are a few more angles of the area that is closed.
