Maestro Mickey’s Gets New Flooring During Refurbishment at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort

Maestro Mickey’s at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort is currently in the process of undergoing a phased refurbishment, and the open section of the store has recently been updated with new flooring.

Maestro Mickey’s is the main shopping location at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, and it sells a mixture of general merchandise, resort-specific items, and sundries. It was announced that the store would be undergoing refurbishment starting on August 4 and lasting through mid-October 2025.

However, rather than completely closing the location, the refurbishment has been taking place in phases. One section of the store has been blocked by construction walls at a time, leaving a reduced area for guests to still shop.

The gift shop now has new flooring. Previously, there was gray geometric-patterned carpet, but that has been updated to two different tones of vinyl plank: light and medium honey oak.

Pictured below is a before and after:

The different tones of flooring are separated with a gray border. Throughout the store, the flooring has abstract shapes to give the space a more interesting look. It does seem a little reminiscent of the plank wood flooring of a performance space, though we aren’t sure if that was intentional.

Pictured above is another view of the flooring, showing the abstract shapes in the vinyl planks. The photo is also a good representation of how big the space is that’s currently open. There are still plenty of T-shirts, mugs, and snacks!

Currently, all merchandise for sale is located in the front half of the gift shop. The temporary walls do not reach the ceiling, and we spotted a portion of the Maestro Mickey mural in the back of the store. Pictured above is what the mural looked like pre-refurbishment. We hope it stays.

Guests will still be able to purchase most of the items that were previously available before the refurbishment, Souvenirs, food and beverages, clothing, and over-the-counter medicines are all located in the finished portion of the shop.

The cash register is located on the left side of the gift shop, if you are looking at it from the entrance. Behind the cash register, you can see the windows looking out at the bus stop. The gift shop is conveniently located as soon as you enter the lobby.
