Actress Bette Midler recently confirmed in an interview that there are still plans to turn Hocus Pocus into a film trilogy, and that she’s seen a potential script for the third film.
Hocus Pocus 3

The original Hocus Pocus stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy, and Bette Midler as the Sanderson Sisters.
The film premiered in 1993 and was not an immediate success, but it has become a Halloween staple in the years since it was released. The Sanderson Sisters have gone on to star in their own stage show during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World.
A sequel film, simply titled Hocus Pocus 2, debuted on September 30, 2022 — 29 years after the original — on Disney+. As noted by Deadline, the sequel set a Disney+ streaming record with 2.7 billion minutes of viewing in a week.

Hocus Pocus 3 was first confirmed to get a green light from Disney back in June of 2023. However, following that initial announcement, there has been very little in the way of news regarding the film. This July, Sarah Jessica Parker mentioned that they had been “having conversations” but she had no more developments to share.
Bette Midler Shares Hocus Pocus Update

Bette Midler recently sat down for an interview with Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, as documented by Deadline, during which she mentioned Hocus Pocus 3. She revealed that she has been sent a completed script for the film, “Well, you know, they sent a script. And a lot of it was brilliant.”
She goes on to explain that they are not filming yet, and the producers are still trying to work out all the logistics, “So, I got very excited. And now we’re trying to figure out what it is and where it’s going to be and how much it’s going to cost and all those logistical things.”
Currently there is no other information on Hocus Pocus 3, including what might be happening to the Sanderson Sisters in this latest installment.
