Haunted Mansion Queue Changed to Address Guest Complaints

The Haunted Mansion queue at Magic Kingdom has been updated to address a recurring complaint from guests.

Haunted Mansion Queue Changed

Fans have now been installed in the outdoor portion of the Haunted Mansion queue. With the current construction situation at the former Rivers of America and surrounding areas, the normal airflow to the queue has been blocked by walls.

Large, industrial-style metal fan on wheels eases guest complaints outside near a brick wall and metal fence.

The issue was partially addressed earlier this year with the addition of large industrial fans temporarily staged in the queue. Those fans are still in place, and new permanent fans have been added overhead in the covered portion.

The walls causing the airflow issue are going to be around for years during the construction of the new Cars-themed area at Magic Kingdom. The Rivers of America and its attractions, the Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island, closed permanently in July, and construction walls soon blocked off the area.

The new Cars area, Piston Peak National Park, will be part of Frontierland. It will offer two attractions, shopping, and dining. The former Rivers of America will be transformed into a Rocky Mountains-inspired landscape with geysers.
