Previews have begun for Zootopia: Better Zoogether at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The 3D show replaces It’s Tough To Be a Bug, which closed in March. There will be previews for Cast MembersDisney Vacation Club Members, and Annual Passholders before the show officially opens to all guests on November 7, 2025. A Nick and Judy meet and greet will also open at Animal Kingdom on that day.

Zootopia: Better Zoogether Entrance & Queue

Disney revealed the Zootopia: Better Zoogether entrance sign and some footage of the attraction the morning before previews began. Officer Clawhauser is depicted on the stand-by entrance sign while Flash the sloth is on the Lightning Lane sign.

A rustic wooden sign attached to a tree shares “Zootopia: Better Zootogether!” 3-D show details plus safety info, like in Disney parks.

A warning sign lets guests know the show has loud noises, fog, and other unexpected special effects.

The entire attraction queue has a new structure covered by safety netting, which will catch anything falling from the tree or sky.

Outside are faux wood painted posters telling the history of Zootopia and Zoogether Day.

Thousands of years ago, natural forces ruled our world.
The world was divided in two: vicious predators and meek prey.
But over time, we evolved and moved beyond our ancient, wild ways.
Our ancestors joined together in harmony and declared that, “Anyone Can Be Anything!”
On Zoogether Day, we unite to celebrate the special connection shared among all living things.

Guests are invited to the Tree of Life Theater for the Zoogether Day LIVE! broadcast. The livestream is hosted by new character Heidi Howler, “a slick-talking wolf who hosts…with excitement, energy, and quite a bit of howling.” There are posters for the show and its various acts inside the theater lobby.

A themed Zootopia map with Downtown, Marshlands, Savannah Central and stars marking spots—no Disney castle like in park maps.

A map of Zootopia shows the different districts with stars representing the Tree of Life Theater and performance locations. The theater is ostensibly located in Savanna Central, near the Zootopia Sound.

The lobby has a Pawdora display, a riff on Pandora jewelry. There are various jewelry items and charms in display cases, some tiny enough for small animals and others large enough for giraffes.

There are other small props for small creatures who might see the show. A tube runs up the wall past a balcony with a little elevator, tiny 3D glasses, and a small version of a classic Disney trash can. On a fire extinguisher and crates is a small porta potty and trash can, plus a create labeled “Drone Camera.”

A bulletin board near the entrance sign shows colorful flyers, notices, and Zootopia Disney posters like those seen in Disney parks.

There’s a bulletin board of various flyers, magazines, ads, and clippings. Some of these are classic Zootopia parodies, like the “Preybill” for Lapines Miserables and the Gazelle album Hooves Don’t Lie. A newspaper teases the show’s story lines with “Hero Detectives Headline Holiday Celebration” and “Search Continues for Escaped Convicts.”

Before entering the theater, guests pick up their orange CarrotVision 3D glasses, technology that was created by the Hopps Family Farm.

After guests take their seats and don their glasses, the show kicks off. Heidi introduces herself.

Animated wolf performs on stage as tiger sits at desk during Zootopia Together Day in Disney’s Animal Kingdom theater.

Officer Clawhauser is in animatronic form in a booth next to the theater’s screen.

The show is split into three acts, plus a finale. First up is an ice-skating performance from Tundratown. Unfortunately, things quickly go wrong. Nick and Judy arrive.

Animated rabbit reaches for a giant donut as a fox grabs her tail, set in Zootopia city lights reminiscent of Disney park magic.

Act two is synchronized swimming from Marsh Market, and the third act is a tiny mouse drone show over Little Rodentia. Both have various disasters that lead to Nick and Judy’s intervention. Effects include lighting, bubbles, and snow. There’s no more poking at your back but there is seat poking effect. Nothing comes down from the ceiling anymore.

Three animated characters perform on stage under a spotlight, red and black backdrop behind, audience silhouettes like Disney park theaters.

It turns out Zootopia villain Dawn Bellwether has been messing things up. She’s sent flying into the wall, revealing an animatronic of her legs.

Costumed characters, including a tuxedoed polar bear, entertain on an Animal Kingdom-style stage at a Disney park.

Clawhauser, Nick, Judy, and all the performers return for the finale. It celebrates the diversity of animals with Try Everything performed by Gazelle.

Don’t forget to return your 3D glasses as you exit.

A playful cartoon animal at Disney peeks over a sign directing guests left for stroller pick-up and right for the exit.

Finnick the fox is pictured on a sign pointing to stroller pick-up and the exit.

Guests gather beneath rustic wooden beams in the sun at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, nestled among lush, tropical foliage.

The exit also has more safety netting to prevent anyone from getting hurt by falling objects.
