After an August premiere in theaters, Freakier Friday will be available in digital and physical form this fall.

Freakier Friday debuted in theaters on August 8, 2025. It centers around the mother and daughter duo of Anna (Lindsey Lohan) and Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis) switching places with Anna’s daughter Harper (Julia Butters) and soon-to-be stepdaughter Lily (Sophia Hammons).
Disney heavily pushed the film, with photo ops and banners decorating the AMC movie theater in Disney Springs and a surprise appearance from cast at Disneyland Resort.
Release Dates
The movie is set to release on digital platforms on October 7, 2025. Viewers will be able to rent or purchase Freakier Friday at this time. Then, on November 11, 2025, it will be available via 4K Ultra HD (Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos), Blu-ray, and DVD.
Bonus content will include deleted scenes, featurettes, interviews with the original cast reflecting on the first movie, a lyric music video, and more.
We anticipate it will later become available for streaming on Disney+, possibly this fall or early winter, although a date has not been set yet.
