Flood Watch Issued for Walt Disney World Resort

A Flood Watch has been issued for today, October 25, 2025, at Walt Disney World Resort and surrounding areas.

A phone screen shows two Flood Watch alerts warning of possible flooding at Walt Disney World Resort until 3:00 am on 10/27.

The watch is in effect until late this evening/early Monday morning. Heavy rainfall is expected for a portion of east central Florida, including the following areas: Volusia, Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole.

Weather map displays Flood Watch, high surf, and advisories across central Florida near Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World Resort.

According to the National Weather Service, “Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.”

A Flood Watch means conditions are favorable to flooding. If a Flood Warning is issued, that means flooding is imminent or occurring.

Hurricane Melissa is also growing in the Caribbean, causing altered itineraries for the Disney Cruise Line. Although the Flood Watch is likely unrelated to the hurricane, Central Florida will likely see some rain and possible storms over the next week related to the weather system.
