Pixar has shared the first official images of Woody and Buzz Lightyear from the upcoming Toy Story 5 film.
Toy Story 5 Woody Buzz Lightyear First Images

The images shared by Pixar include a first look at the iconic characters, as they are going to appear in Toy Story 5. Both characters are standing in front of a blue backdrop with clouds, reminiscent of Andy’s classic bedroom.
Woody and Buzz Lightyear are largely unchanged, though there are a few small differences. First, in keeping with the ending of Toy Story 4 (spoiler alert), Woody is no longer wearing his sheriff’s badge after giving it to Jessie. Second, Buzz is sporting a new gold star sticker over the latter half of his “Lightyear” logo on the side of his chest. These appear to be the only major differences in the characters so far.
Toy Story 5 Concept Art

In another concept art image released on the Disney Movies website, we also have a look at a scene involving more than one Buzz Lightyear. The description included with the art explains:
The toys are back in Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5, and in the case of Buzz Lightyear, “back” is an understatement. Fifty commemorative Buzz Lightyear action figures, stuck in toy mode, are searching for Star Command and they just might make considerable problems for everybody.

The Disney Movies website also included a second concept art image of Jessie, Buzz, and Bullseye standing in front of a digital tablet character with frog characteristics. This art did not have an added description for context.
Toy Story 5

In Toy Story 5, the toys are back and this time it’s Toy meets Tech. Buzz, Woody, Jessie and the rest of the gang’s jobs are challenged when they’re introduced to what kids are obsessed with today…electronics! Toy Story 5 is directed by Andrew Stanton, co-directed by Kenna Harris and produced by Jessica Choi.
We previously got a first look at a new character named Smarty Pants, a potty training toy, who will be voiced by Conan O’Brien.
The film hits theaters on June 19, 2026.
