Disney’s Vero Beach Resort 3 Bedroom Cottage Tour

Located in Vero Beach, FL, on the Atlantic Treasure Coast, Disney’s Vero Beach Resort is a recreational retreat just a couple hours from Walt Disney World. Its unique features include a private lake for fishing and a beautiful beach mere steps away from the hotel.
Notably, the beach is actually a critical turtle-nesting habitat for three species of threatened/endangered sea turtles: loggerheads, greens and leatherbacks. Art featuring these turtles decorates the walls of the cottage.

Among the types of rooms offered is this three bedroom beachfront cottage, which sleeps up to 12 guests. Come with us as we tour Cottage 1450, The Leatherback Cottage.

Walking up, the cottage has a distinctly beach-inspired facade. There is a porch on the bottom and top levels with white railing.

The first floor porch has a swing, two rocking chairs, and a small table. The doorway is trimmed in a sea foam green color.
Entrance Area

The bottom floor is home to three bedrooms and an entryway with stairs leading to the main living area and kitchen.

The stairs are wood grained with white trim and posts. A carpet runner protects the stain. There is a small bench and basket to store any items needed for a quick trip outside,

Just below the stairs is a cupboard (not for 11-year-old wizards to sleep in). Inside are some general cleaning supplies, but the closest could also be used to store large luggage.

There is also a laundry room on the first floor with a washer, dryer, and storage area. A shelf is provided to fold clothes or store detergents.

Down the hallway are two of the bedrooms.
First Suite

The first has two queen-sized beds and access to the back patio, as all of the first floor rooms have. The headboard and bed frames in this room are an older style, without room beneath them for storage. Darker wood tones stand out against the green walls.

The details of this room are distinctly beach-themed with bright colors and details, including a sea creature-inspired throw pillow on each bed.

Between the beds is a dark wooden nightstand with standard and USB outlets. Above it is one of many turtle images around the cottage.

A Samsung Smart TV hangs above a smaller chest of drawers. An ottoman with additional storage sits below a decorative mirror.

The on suite bathroom for this bedroom has a large vanity with one sink and several drawers for storage. There is a mirror above it. Another mirror is hung on the shower room door.

The bright green paint continues into the bath and toilet room. Above the toilet is a storage shelf with teal alcove and shelves lined with necessities.

The shower curtain is Nemo-themed with several characters from the film hidden among the colorful reef and wave pattern. There is also a closet in the bathroom for additional storage.
Second Suite

The second room has a king bed and small seating area with large windows looking out. This room is painted a light blue shade.

Several framed photos of turtles are hung above the bed. Peach, the lovable starfish from Finding Nemo, is hidden among the design of the bed’s throw pillow, adding to the light IP-theming of the cottage.

A white chest of drawers and ottoman line the opposite wall for storage. Another TV and mirror are attached to the wall for guest convenience. Standard and USB plugs have been added just below the TV.

Each side of the bed features a white nightstand, each with USB and standard plugs and matching lamps.

Leading into the on suite bathroom, another large closest provide storage and a safe.

This bathroom has a large soaking tub in a separate alcove.

The vanity sits between a walk-in shower and toilet room. Plenty of towels and other amenities sit atop the counter.

The shower is tiled and has a ledge for seating. The toilet is in a separate room.
Third Suite

The third room also has two queen beds, but this room has a slightly different style than the other two-bed option. The headboards have more of a beach-style with shiplap covered in wooden panels.

This room has a larger white dresser and TV attached to the wall above. A mirror hangs next to the set.

The headboards have lightning fixtures attached in the middle and seashell art between. There is one smaller nightstand between the beds, as well.

The attached bathroom is also accessible from outside the suite, so it is shared by others in the cottage. There is a smaller closest and vanity, which match those in the other rooms.

The vanity is separate from the toilet and shower, which are standard and housed in a larger room. This bathroom has a window facing the front of the cottage.
Downstairs Patio

Downstairs, the ocean view is obstructed by a barrier for ocean safety and turtle protection. Seating for up to four guests can be accessed by all downstairs rooms.

The patio-style area features dark wicker outdoor furniture with gray cushions. There are two individual seats and one double seater. A small table is also provided.

A sliver of the ocean can be seen beyond the barrier shrubs.
Upstairs Living Area

Heading upstairs, there are several more pieces of turtle art lining the walls.

The entire upstairs area is open concept with living, dining, and kitchen areas. There is a small table with four seats just at the top of the landing.

The living room space has a blue couch, which can be converted into another bed. A coffee table, chair, and large TV round out the area.

A Disney 100 Years of Wonder book sits atop a sofa table. Two matching lamps can be used to light the area in the evening.

A larger dining table seats six and sits opposite the “living room.” The table is wood grained, and the chairs are tan and padded. Three bar stools add another area for seating.

Overall, the room is bright and airy with tons of windows, providing a beautiful view and natural light. Beach-themed photos add to the whimsical seaside design of the space.

The kitchen is large and filled with all the necessary dishes and cooking supplies for a lengthy stay. A Keurig and coffee pods are also included.

The kitchen area also includes a double sink and dishwasher with plenty of counter space for cooking.
Upstairs Balconies

There are balconies on the front and back of the cottage, allowing for plenty of space and seating options. We luckily toured the cottage closest to the resort’s pool, so it was in a prime location.

The front balcony has two lounger chairs and a table with four chairs.

The same seating options are provided on the rear balcony but with much better views.

Although the suite does not have direct beach access, the view alone might make it worth a stay.
