Disney World has extended the standby queue for the Haunted Mansion attraction, providing a protection from the sun and elements.
Haunted Mansion Queue

The Haunted Mansion standby queue has been extended into the old docking space for the Liberty Belle and Liberty Square Riverboat attraction, which is now permanently closed to make way for new Magic Kingdom projects.

While only in use when needed, the queue extends from the attraction entrance down to the building where guests used to dock. Stanchions and ropes have been set up to snake through this space, and blue signs on the ropes indicate that this is the standby entrance for Haunted Mansion.

The majority of the queue is covered, but this new extended queue will offer protection from the sun and elements when the line becomes extensive. Fans were placed in the traditional queue after guests complained.

Previously, the space was empty after the Liberty Square Riverboat closed this summer, and rolling planters were placed in the area. Just a few weeks ago, the planters were removed, as pictured above.
