For America’s 250th anniversary next year, Disney will host a special fireworks broadcast on major networks and streaming platforms.

Disney Celebrates America

Cinderella Castle at night shines with blue stars and fireworks, the perfect place to celebrate America.

The broadcast will be part of the Disney Celebrates America initiative running from Veterans Day 2025 (November 11) through the weekend of July 4, 2026. This celebration will culminate in the 24-hour, multi-platform broadcast, Disney Celebrates America.

The special will highlight America’s 250th anniversary events nationwide across Disney’s linear networks and streaming platforms, including Disney+, Hulu, ABC, Disney Channel, ESPN, Freeform, FX, and National Geographic.

David Muir, anchor and managing editor of World News Tonight with David Muir, will lead the daylong coverage. He will be joined by ABC News anchors and correspondents reporting from across the country. The broadcast will feature top entertainers, athletes, explorers, and historians “all coming together to spotlight the wonder, achievements, and dreams that define the American spirit.”

A nighttime fireworks display lights up the sky above a lit castle, with buildings and trees decorated in red, white, and blue lights, and a large clock visible on the right side.

Disney Celebrates America will end with a special evening fireworks broadcast from Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.

Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort will both have three nights of July 4th fireworks in 2026, an expansion from previous years. Both resorts will also open Soarin’ Across America, a new version of the flight attraction.
