Universal Studios Florida has plans to expand and upgrade one of its food kiosks, and construction walls have been installed to begin work.

Expo Eats Expansion

Guests stroll by shuttered snack stands and construction barriers, under trees and cloudy skies—very different from Disney parks.

Late last month, Universal Orlando Resort filed a permit for the area surrounding the Expo Eats kiosk. It expires at the end of March 2026.

Specifically, the description says that the kiosk will need new equipment, power upgrades, and new plumbing lines.

Work is already beginning, as temporary construction walls were installed around the kiosk. The walls extend from the Face Paint kiosk, behind the Expo Eats kiosk, through the Central Park metal archway, and end in a grassy area with trees.

Green scrim blocks off the area between the Face Paint kiosk and the kiosk where guests can get airbrushed tattoos, hair wraps, and braids.

Expo Eats

Guests queue at the “Eats” snack stand in Universal Studios, with trees and parkgoers nearby—distinct from Disney’s castle areas.

Expo Eats is a snack and beverage kiosk located in a small area between Hollywood, DreamWorks Land, and Springfield at Universal Studios Florida.

Although not listed on the Universal Orlando Resort website, guests can purchase fountain beverages, ICEE, alcoholic beverages, and snacks like popcorn and pretzels.

The kiosk is still open during this time, but that may change as construction progresses.
