A new construction permit has been filed for the address of Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at Disneyland Resort, hinting at some potential upcoming changes.
Trader Sam’s Construction Permit

The new construction permit, named BLD2025-00545 was filed back in February of 2025, but was not finalized until the end of June. It lists the address of 1313 S Harbor Blvd in Anaheim, CA.
The description included with the permit mentions “Replace gas tiki torches with epoxy anchors at exterior. Install air conditioner at electrical room. Replace interior show effects, show lighting, and lighting systems. With mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.”

The description seems to imply the exterior and interior of Trader Sam’s will be undergoing a refurbishment to replace certain components such as tiki torches and show effects. Whether or not the nearby Tangaroa Terrace will be included during the refurbishment is not stated.
There are rumors that these changes are expected to begin taking place in early 2026, but this has not been confirmed. At the moment, Disneyland has not announced any operational changes or closures for Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar.
Disneyland Hotel

The Disneyland Hotel recently received a wave of spooky decor just in time for the latter half of Halloween Time at the resort.
Guests at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar can also grab one of the new Evil Queen mugs while supplies last, following a release party for the mug held in the hotel’s Grand Ballroom. The Disneyland location is also in the process of releasing a connected series of map-themed coasters, the first of which arrived in mid-August.
