Construction work taking place at the Disneyland Hotel is causing some issues with how guests enter the lobby. An alternate side door is now being used as the main entrance.
Disneyland Hotel Construction

Construction work taking place outside the lobby of the Disneyland Hotel has closed off the main entrance to the lobby from the pool area. As guests enter the hotel area from Downtown Disney, they will see a large blue tarp blocking off the walkway to the lobby just behind the seating area.

Signs directing guests to the new Fantasy Tower lobby door have been installed at various points. This may be a bit confusing for guests trying to access the lobby.

Guests will need to use a side door that Disney has turned into a temporary main door until the end of October 2025, according to a Cast Member we spoke with. Pictured above is the side door that leads to a side entrance of the lobby where Cast Members assist guests.

From inside the lobby, black scrim blocks guests from using the door that leads out to the area that is currently closed. The main door is usually located next to small world Gifts & Sundries.

Instead, guests will need to exit via Disney’s Fantasia Shop to get to the other side of the hotel, which consists of The Coffee House, Goofy’s Kitchen, and the Villas at Disneyland Hotel.

Guests will want to follow the signs to find the pool since this particular entrance is blocked off. There are other entrance points to the pool, but it will just require a bit more walking if you are coming from the main lobby of the hotel.
It appears that the Fantasy Tower lobby may be receiving a new sign, as shown in the photos above. Other work may be taking place at the same time, though only the sign is currently visible.
