Disneyland’s Magic Key annual pass prices have been increased effective immediately, impacting all pass renewals and future sales.

Disneyland Magic Key Pass Prices Increased

The two highest Magic Key passes have increased in price by $100 to $150 based on pass type. Here’s the breakdown:

  • Inspire: now $1,899 (increased $150 from $1,749)
  • Believe: now $1,474 (increased $100 from $1,374)
  • Enchant: now $974 (no change)
  • Imagine: now $599 (no change)

Each pass also has monthly payment options.

Magic Key passes have experienced intermittent availability since they were introduced as a replacement to the Disneyland annual pass program.

In addition to these price increases, Disney unleashed a number of other price increases across their domestic resorts and theme parks today. The increases include price hikes to admission tickets, Lightning Lane, a massive increase to parking prices at Walt Disney World, the cost for Walt Disney World annual passes, as well as price increases to food at all domestic parks and resorts.

Magic Key Program

Disneyland Resort introduced the Magic Key program as a replacement for Annual Passes. Sales began in August 2021 with four pass tiers. The highest tier, the Dream Key, sold out in October 2021, followed quickly by the Believe Key.

In December 2021, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Disney, alleging that Disney falsely advertised their highest tier Dream Key as having “no blockout dates” despite the very limited bucket of reservations available for Key holders.

Despite opposition from Disney’s legal team, a federal judge ruled that the lawsuit could move forward on May 13, 2022. On May 31, sales of all Magic Keys were suspended.

When renewals began in August, changes had been made to the program. The Dream Key was permanently discontinued, and a new Imagine Key was introduced. Notably, all four tiers now had blockout dates. Additionally, a clause was added to the terms and conditions requiring the Key Holder to waive the right to file a class action lawsuit upon agreement.

Pass sales were opened to all guests for about a day in November 2022 before being paused again, and then resuming in January of 2023. Sales of new Magic Keys were again suspended on September 8, 2023; at this time, all four tiers are available for renewal only.
