UPDATE: As of 7:55pm ET, the dining reservation system is working again, although the “technical issues” banner is still displayed across the site.
Tuesday’s Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage hit the Walt Disney World site in the afternoon, affecting dining reservations and other services.
Walt Disney World Dining Reservations Down
Currently, every page on the Walt Disney World website is displaying the following banner across the top:

Important Information
Pardon the Inconvenience
We are currently experiencing intermittent technical issues that may affect some of our digital experiences. We’re actively working to resolve this issue. We apologize for any inconvenience.
While the Disney Dining page loads fine, when you select a restaurant or click the “Select All Availability” button, you’re directed to a maintenance page.

My Disney Experience App Issues
The outage extends to the My Disney Experience app. Loading the app brings up a window with a similar warning:
Pardon the Inconvenience
We are currently experiencing intermittent technical issues that may affect some of our digital experiences. We’re actively working to resolve this issue. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Loading the Dining page on the app brings up the following page with a derpy Dante on his back above the message:
Oops!
We’re Down for Maintenance!
But we’ll be up and running soon, so please try again later.
Amazon Web Services Outage
The issues seem to be directly connected with Tuesday’s Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage, which affected more than 1,000 companies’ websites and apps, including Snapchat, Roblox, Lyft, and Hulu. AWS reported it had fixed the primary issue, but some services were still experiencing “significant errors.”
