The Fantastic Four: First Steps Sets Digital and Physical Release Dates

On the heels of a great run in theaters this summer, The Fantastic Four: First Steps will release on digital platforms this month and in physical form next month.

Digital Release Date

The Fantastic Four: First Steps debuted in theaters on July 25, 2025 and had one of the best opening weekend premiers, stretching to $118M during that first weekend. That put the film slightly ahead of its expected $100 million to $110 million expected earnings.

The movie is set to release on streaming platforms on September 23. Then, on October 14, it will be available via 4K Ultra HD (Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos), Blu-ray, and DVD.

It will likely begin streaming on Disney+ later this fall, although we do not have official confirmation.

The film is set in an alternate, retro-futuristic universe where Marvel’s first family must “balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond” as they defend Earth from “ravenous space god” Galactus.

Special effects and vintage lenses were used to give it that 1960’s feel. In keeping with the vintage vibes, Disney Parks fans were delighted to discover that the song Nation on Wheels from the Disneyland PeopleMover was playing in the background in one of the scenes.
