Rivers of America Completely Blocked by Scrim and Temporary Walls

Rivers of America is now completely blocked by scrim and temporary walls, making it nearly impossible to see progress on this part of Piston Peak construction.

Rivers of America

During our visit to Magic Kingdom, we saw that Rivers of America is now completely blocked off with scrim and temporary walls.

It starts at the meeting point of Liberty Square and Frontierland with temporary gray walls. There is a door, pictured above, although Guests are not allowed in this area. This has been present for a while now.

Then, heading to Frontierland, tan scrim has been installed. It runs the entire length of the pier that runs parallel with the now-empty river. The pier is still accessible for guests to use as a walkway.

At one section, we can see inside because of a gap between the gray walls and tan scrim. There are still bushes and rock work.

Guests can still see the wood posts, net fencing, and small wooden structures along the pier because the scrim and walls sit inside the former river.

A person walks by Rivers of America, passing brown barriers and rope fencing with temporary walls on a cloudy day.

Then, heading up towards Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Big Thunder Mountain, dark brown temporary walls have been installed.

Pictured above are some far-away shots of the scrim. Our reporter says she can still see buildings from father away.

Just two days ago, crews had not completely blocked off Rivers of America but did make a lot of progress in getting scrim and temporary construction walls installed.
