Construction walls went up at the exit of the defunct Poseidon’s Fury attraction in Universal Islands of Adventure earlier this month — but the walls are already down with no signs of construction.
Poseidon’s Fury Construction Walls Removed

The former Poseidon’s Fury entrance remains blocked by a temporary barrier, but the construction walls were to the left when facing the ruined temple facade. Compare our above photos from September 17 and September 25.

There’s now no sign of the walls or of any changes to the area. They originally went up within days of Universal filing a permit to demolish five acres of land at Universal Islands of Adventure and then confirming there would be “construction activity” in the Lost Continent.
Construction walls remain on the bridge leading from Seuss Landing to Lost Continent.
Lost Continent History
The Lost Continent at Universal Islands of Adventure was once split into three sections: the medieval Merlinwood, an Arabian marketplace called Sindbad’s Bazaar, and the Atlantis-style Lost City. In 2010, Merlinwood was taken over by The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Its existing roller coasters changed from Flying Unicorn to Flight of the Hippogriff and Dueling Dragons to Dragon Challenge. The latter permanently closed in 2017 and was replaced by Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.
The main attraction of Sindbad’s Bazaar was the stunt stage show, The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad, but it closed in 2018. The remains are fully intact, however, and the theater was recently used as a Cool Zone. The Lost Continent’s only remaining “attraction” is the Mystic Fountain in Sindbad’s Bazaar. Sindbad’s Bazaar got a How to Train Your Dragon overlay this year in honor of the live-action remake’s release.
Poseidon’s Fury was a walkthrough attraction in the Lost City area. It permanently closed in May 2023 but, like The Eighth Voyage of Sindbad, there have been no signs of demolition.
