Gonzo is gone-zo from the MuppetVision 3D clock tower at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the show’s sign has been covered.
Muppets Courtyard Demolition

A black and white flat figure of Gonzo previously hung from the hands of the clock in reference to the 1923 silent film Safety Last! starring Harold Lloyd. As of Wednesday, September 10, Gonzo has been removed. The clock remains and the theater facade is expected to be redressed and reused for the area’s new Monsters, Inc. land.

The photos above show the clock tower now (left) and before closing with Gonzo (right).

The theater marquee advertising MuppetVision 3D is now covered by a black tarp. The marquee is still visible from the sides. It was not always a fixture of the theater but was installed in 2017 when Muppets Courtyard was re-branded to Grand Avenue.

Above is what the marquee looked like. The theater was dubbed Grand Arts Theatre and advertised MuppetVision 3D now playing.
The Lightning Lane and Wait Time signs are also still visible over construction walls. To see more details, check out our last look at the MuppetVision 3D queue.

Muppets Courtyard is being transformed into a Monsters, Inc. land. Stage 1 Company Store, the former Muppets store, was completely demolished but the rest of the buildings will be reused.

Disney has not announced what will go in the former Muppets theater, but concept art has it named The Glob.
The main attraction of the new land will be a Monsters, Inc. door coaster.
