We got a glimpse of the Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift ride vehicles now on the coaster at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift Construction Update
Hollywood Drift Ride Vehicles

Each coaster train will consist of four cars resembling famous vehicles from the Fast & Furious series. The lead car will be Dom’s Dodge Charger. We could see the body of an orange car inside the ride’s loading area.

Black seats are visible in the car, with plastic wrap around their supports. This appears to be the back of Brian O’Conner’s Toyota Supra.
Gift Shop

Nearby, the Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift gift shop opened a few weeks ago, but it now has signage and a name. According to this sign, it’s the 101 Exchange Store.

Lettering has been added above the display windows of the shop. One window advertises collectibles and cold drinks. The other lists fine gifts, toys, and apparel. The shop currently doesn’t offer Fast & Furious merchandise.
More Construction

A Hollywood Drift entrance sign was installed not long ago, and its support columns have been covered in black sheathing. We previously reported on the polluted sightline of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The entrance sign and mural are fully visible from inside the land.

The coaster track was completed in the spring and will take guests up and down the mountainside. Crews are still working on theming around the coaster, including this area next to the queue building.

There are dozens of structural pylons standing in this area, presumably to support future themed elements. This is where we saw crew members working on our most recent visit.

This white frame beneath a curve of the track may later support something themed or a safety net.

Near the bottom of the hill are tall fences lining the tram tour path. These may later be covered by paneling.
Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is scheduled to open next year. It will be the first ever high-speed outdoor roller coaster at Universal Studios Hollywood, as well as one of Universal’s fastest coasters at 72MPH.
