The Fantasyland Theatre at Disneyland Resort recently received updates, but the work is apparently not done yet, and new construction walls have been added to the space.

Fantasyland Theatre Walls

Our Disneyland reporter discovered that walls are up again at the Fantasyland Theatre. After passing the archway for the theatre, guests are met with walls at the entrance to the seating area. There are still some small tables and umbrellas in case you need a spot to rest.

Around the perimeter of the theatre, more walls have been installed to keep guests from entering the seating area.

However, the walls are relatively short, and you can still see the closed-off seating area and stage over the top.

While our reporter was there, a technician was on the stage pointing a flashlight up at the equipment, and another was standing nearby. It appears some work to the technical and/or mechanical systems may also be taking place.

Recent Work

Earlier this year, crews updated the Fantasyland Theatre with the addition of stars-and-vines banners around the stage, as well as a new star motif on the archway.

More recently, the theatre received new paint in the following areas:

  • The pavement leading into the Troubadour Tavern seating area, down to the bleacher seating, and behind the tech booth
  • The fencing around the theater
  • The paved area in the front of the stage
  • The seating area pavement and tech booth

Currently, the theatre is dark after hosting the Pixar Pals Playtime Party during the summer. It will reopen in November for Holiday Fun with Santa & Friends, which is part of the Disneyland Holidays 2025 festivities.
