As previously announced in a post form Disney Parks Blog, Coco Shimmer Wishables are now available at Disneyland Resort.
Coco Shimmer Wishables – $17.99
Just like the recent Mickey and Friends Shimmer Collection and Disney Villains Shimmer Wishables, the new series is sold in a hexagonal box. The Disney Wishables logo is printed horizontally on one side with the “Shimmer” designation written below in blue. The top of the packaging features a similar design. This box style of packaging prevents collectors from “feeling” for the character they desire.
Each Coco series box contains one of five mystery characters. Possible plushies include Pepita Alebrije, Héctor, Mamá Imelda, Dante Alebrije, and Miguel Rivera.
This new series is similar to a Coco: Plaza de la Familia Wishables series released in 2020. Unlike the former set, the shimmer series features characters that “shimmer” with stars in their eyes. Their outfits also feature metallic material, adding to the shiny nature of the mystery figures. There are a few additional changes compared to the 2020 series, such as Miguel wearing his skeleton outfit instead of his usual clothes.
The figures arrive just weeks after a new Coco sipper became available at Disneyland Resort for the Plaza de la Familia celebrations, which will be running from August 22 through November 2, 2025.
A new Coco-themed attraction is also coming to Disney California Adventure. The ride themed to the film will be built near Paradise Gardens Park and Pixar Pier, in areas that are predominantly backstage today. Construction on this attraction is set to begin backstage this fall.
