Walt Disney Imagineering shared a new video showcasing more of the theming elements and dishes coming to Roundup Rodeo BBQ when it opens on March 23 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Chef Brian talked about the backstory of Andy building the restaurant playset. The designers used a lot of “handmade” touches to make the venue look like a child’s craft.
The building is designed to look like corrugated cardboard on the exterior as well. See our latest construction update for a look at the façade theming.
The pasta for the Slinky Doooooooooog Mac & Cheese was specially sourced so that it “springs” when guests pick it up.
He briefly discussed the plant-based options, including a bowl of cubed watermelon and Impossible meat dishes.
The desserts were inspired by a backyard cookout/potluck, where pies are common. Some of desserts on the menu are mini pies in jars.
Roundup Rodeo BBQ has a smokehouse on site. Check out the full menu here. The restaurant will serve lunch and dinner with a set price per person of $45 for adults and $25 for children ages 3-9, plus tax and gratuity.
